link: I don't get all this uproar over Australian's being punished for criminal acts overseas. You go to these countries and you get yourself involved in these biz, then it's your own fault. If they kill you, too bad for you.

from daily telegraph:

"MUSLIM model Michelle Leslie is unlikely to attend a mosque when she returns to Australia, her lawyer said last night.

The 24 year old, who converted to Islam earlier this year, wore a hijab throughout her Bali
ordeal.

Her lawyer, Ross Hill, said from Bali last night the model would not be praying in a mosque following her release from a Bali jail. "She wasn't going to the mosque while she was here," Mr Hill said on Channel 9's A Current Affair. "To be a good Muslim, you don't have to pray five times a day."

  • CASE SUMMARY:

    * Michelle Leslie = 24yo underwear model who goes to Bali

    * Gets found with 2 ecstasy tablets in her handbag and faces possibly long Bali jail sentence

    * Australia gets a hardon for her pretty face and thinks it's really unfair that she got busted with drugs and sent to jail

    * Lingerie model Michelle Leslie (as always referred to in the press) starts wearing Hijab and claiming to be a Muslim. Which may or may not have anything to do with Indonesia (and its judges) being predominantly Muslim.

    * Australian media keep reprinting pictures of Lingerie model Michelle in bodypaint/underwear going

    * Michelle Leslie is freed last week and drops wearing a Hijab like an out of fashion coat. tsk*
