we speak about the future, the past more often than not, the people that have come and gone through our meager existence. from these, i have learnt that people have their reasons for hurting others, and sometimes it is better to forget rather than forgive; to forget, is the resignation of regret and lessons learnt. forgiving is beating up old flesh wounds, forgetting is swallowing it whole. i am always waiting for that epiphanic moment: the realization that, yes, it is good to be alive.
